• The editorial staff of

    20 Minutes

    accompanies you during the summer.

Because this period is often that of big nonsense on the heart and on the ass side, the "club of 4" at your service gives you some "hot stuff" to spend two months "tchatchatcha", every Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.

So if you don't know what to talk about at aperitif time, we're here and, in the headset, we talk to you about nudes, Tinder vacations, skin and hot sand.

  • In this first episode of our series "And more if affinities", we are already trying to find out why we generally have more desire to "sex" as soon as the sun comes up.

put the question to a sexologist and a neurobiologist and one to understand what is going on in our body and our head.

And believe us, given their answers, your summer will be hot.

A shoulder, a neck, an ankle, etc.

For the past few weeks you have not understood why your libido is racing with every little centimeter of uncovered skin.

Whether you are in a relationship, polyamorous or single, with sunny days your desire to make love is more intense than that of discovering Queen B's new album.

But how is it possible that summer turns us all – or almost – into “Giny, the hottest cold drink”?

“In my practice, I notice that my patients and their sexuality are less sleepy during the summer,” explains Jane Oberdorff, clinical sexologist in a nursing home in Paris.

An increase in libido that our practitioner attributes to the head as much as to the body, but of which she has more control over the second aspect.

Sport, skin and sunscreen

“Summer is synonymous with heat and therefore with lighter clothes.

Both men and women are sensitive to these outfits which reveal the body of the other”, explains the professional.

It is precisely because the body reveals itself much more during the summer period that many of Jane Oberdorff's patients tend to take more care of it.

"We play sports, the skin tans, we feel more beautiful, we have more self-confidence and naturally we are more in tune with our desires", notes the practitioner.

Another special feature of the season is sunscreen.

Yet harmless in its practice, it partly explains the increase in the libido of those who use it.

“When we cream, we touch ourselves and we unconsciously reconnect with our skin sensations, often lost during the winter, explains our sexologist.

Summer breezes caress our skin and activate all our nerve endings that help us become aware of our bodies and feel good.

Summer fluids

The heat, the sunscreen but imagine that there is still another factor that raises our internal thermostat: perspiration.

"The heat makes us sweat and this sweating releases pheromones", explains to

.

“These pheromones act as signals, of our age, our health, our menstrual cycle but even more of degrees of excitement,” she adds.

And the days that lengthen, we talk about it?

“Of course!” replies Lucy Vincent.

Our circadian cycle, which is based on the amount of light we receive in a day, significantly alters hormonal release.

The long summer days motivate the secretion of the two hormones necessary for a fulfilling sexuality: estrogen and testosterone.

"We are much more motivated, energetic and willing during the summer, especially in our sexuality," concludes Lucy Vincent.

What if more than the season it was not about the time we have that makes us more prone to cuddly moments?

For Jane Oberdorff, this is surely the key: “Most people take long vacations during the summer, and this time is precious for reconnecting with one's sexuality.

“Taking a break, breaking with everyday life, emancipating ourselves from the mental burden, would allow us to be more disposed to sex and more broadly to rediscovered tenderness.

"On summer vacation, you really take the time to live out your desire," says our sexologist.

You will therefore have understood it, put down your CP, take out your panties and sweat, damn it.
