The British actress Florence Pugh, known among other things from the American literary adaptation "Little Women" and the Marvel film "Black Widow", has resisted male comments about her body on Instagram.

At fashion house Valentino's couture show last week in Rome, the actress wore a pink Valentino dress that revealed her nipples clearly beneath the fabric.

The photos of this performance had caused a number of disparaging comments on social media.

According to some, Pugh should be ashamed of her small breasts.

"Listen I knew if I wore this amazing dress there would inevitably be comments," Pugh wrote in her post.

"Be it positive or negative, we knew what we were doing." However, it was "interesting" to observe how easy it was for men to openly destroy a woman's body with her real name and job information in the profiles.

The actress pointed out how women often suffer from vulgar comments from strangers.

She is not ashamed of her body and does not want to bow to expectations of it.

At the end she addressed the men with the words: “Grow up.

Respects other people.

Respects body.

Respects all women.

Respects people.

Life will be a lot easier, I promise you.”

For her statement, Pugh received a lot of support from other actresses, but also from Pierpaolo Piccioli, who designed the dress for Valentino.

In the last of the three pictures Pugh posted, she covered her nipples with her fingers.

For those who feel more comfortable not showing that patch of darker skin.
