The owner of a mosque called Hay al-Qayyum in the Egyptian governorate of Giza complained of repeated theft of the contents of his family’s mosque, which was built in 2014;

The owner of the mosque explained to "Cairo 24" that the mosque has been opened and operated since 1436 AH, but some cracks and cracks occurred in it, which prompted them to start maintenance and restoration operations for the mosque, but during these repairs, a person stole The mosque’s paints, which are valued at 70,000 pounds, stressing that this is the sixth time that this person has stormed the mosque and stole its contents.

The owner of the mosque, explained that this thief used to leave a message on the walls of the mosque, writing that he had to steal;

On the grounds that his mother is ill and is hospitalized;

He reasoned that he needed the money.

The owner of the mosque confirmed that he was sure that this thief did not need the money, adding that he had to put surveillance cameras inside the mosque after repeating the theft operations in it, which prompted them to compensate these thefts with huge sums, the value of which approached half a million pounds;

This is because his family has always refused to collect any donations for the mosque, explaining that it was built entirely at the expense of his family.

According to what the owner of the mosque mentioned, this thief stole various equipment from the mosque, which varied between valves and faucets in the mosque’s bathrooms, loudspeakers in it, as well as fans and means of ventilation, noting that these thefts continued even when the mosque was exposed to replacement and renewal operations, during which the mosque’s paints were stolen. , which was revealed by the surveillance cameras, which the thief was unaware of their installation during maintenance operations.

He stressed that he submitted a complaint against the thief after determining his identity, but he gave up his civil right during the filing of the report, and that his whole goal is to prevent the recurrence of the theft of the contents of God's houses, noting that the large mosque that he used to guard, God passed away a few days ago, noting that they are now looking for who takes his place.
