[Explanation] On July 8, the new Tibet Museum officially opened. This museum is the first museum with modern functions in Tibet and the only comprehensive national first-class museum in Tibet.

In October 2017, the reconstruction and expansion project of the Tibet Museum started with a total investment of 660 million yuan.

At present, the folk custom exhibition hall, which is one of the basic exhibitions, has also been installed.

We all know that Tibet is a region of cultural relics, and its folk culture is rich in regional and folk characteristics.

So what is the difference between this exhibition and past exhibitions?

The first is that its area is more than 2,730 (square meters); the second is that this exhibition is also more prominent, that is, the amount of our collection has increased, and the area of our collection has expanded, which means that it is rich a lot of content.

[Explanation] During the more than two years of preparation for the exhibition, Tibetan folklore expert Jiru Pasangluobu experienced many stories of cultural inheritance, and also felt that the protection of Tibetan folklore culture has been greatly enhanced.

Jiru Pasangluobu introduced that the theme of the exhibition is "people closest to the sun", and the main line is clothing, food, housing, transportation, production and life.

In this exhibition, I personally think that we have achieved three principles, which means that these three principles are also a feature of our folklore exhibition. One is close to the masses, the second is close to reality, and the third is close to life.

We may not have seen this particularly impressive and shocking product in terms of economic value or from an artistic point of view after we have watched the entire exhibition. We may not have seen it, but the culture behind it The new machine (connotation), I think this is a way of showing our life close to life.

[Explanation] In recent years, the protection of intangible cultural heritage in Tibet has been promoted solidly and effectively, and many folk cultures have been included in the intangible cultural heritage projects.

Jiru Pasangluobu believes that it is the government and various departments that have increased the protection of folk and folk culture, so that the ancient and colorful folk culture of Tibet can be presented to the audience in its original form.

(Tibetan carpet) is first of all a representative work as a handicraft, and we want to show this to the audience.

The most important point is that many of these patterns correspond to the silk fabrics in the Central Plains, that is to say, through the silk fabrics and some porcelains in the Central Plains, the reference and use of the patterns have enhanced the artistry and use of the Tibetan carpet itself. It's ornamental, so these cultures are completely integrated.

[Explanation] Jiru Pasang Norbu hopes that the museum will exert its functions of cultural inheritance, interpretation and protection, deepen the domestic audience's understanding of Tibetan folk customs, and promote exchanges and integration among various ethnic groups.

At the same time, he also hoped that the international audience can see the brilliant achievements of Tibetan cultural protection from here.
