In the case where former Prime Minister Abe was shot and killed during a speech on the streets of Nara City, it is believed that a bullet pierced the sign of an election car that had stopped about 20 meters away from former Prime Minister Abe. It turns out that police are investigating that the suspect used a gun with high killing ability after careful preparation.

Former Prime Minister Abe was shot by a gun during a speech near Yamato-Saidaiji Station in Nara City on the 8th and died at the hospital where he was transported.

Police have arrested a 41-year-old unemployed person in Nara City, Tetsuya Yamagami, on the spot and are investigating on suspicion of murder.

According to the police, he said in response to the investigation, "I had a grudge against a particular religious group, and I thought that former Prime Minister Abe had a close relationship with this group."

Yamagami approached from behind and fired two handmade guns, but subsequent investigations revealed bullet holes in an election car that had stopped about 20 meters away from former Prime Minister Abe. It is believed that some of the ammunition pierced the sign on the vehicle.

In response to the investigation so far, he made a statement to the effect that "in addition to the gun made by wrapping two iron pipes with adhesive tape, we also made a gun with three, five, and six iron pipes." Therefore, the police are investigating that they used a gun with high killing ability after careful preparation.
