Downton Abbey star on new film: "The estate is turned upside down"

The new film builds on the previous feature film and the six seasons in the TV series about the people on the estate Downton Abbey.

A recurring theme is how times change and how the family is forced to adapt and navigate the new times, something that Michelle Dockery, who plays Lady Mary, is fascinated by. 

- There is always some kind of change going on at Downton and the family is always trying to find new ways to get the goods to go around.

Expensive series  

The new film takes place during the interwar period in England and is created by Julian Fellowes, screenwriter and executive producer for all six seasons of the TV series.

Downton Abbey premiered in 2010 and is considered one of the most successful and lavish TV series of our time.

It has won several awards, including a Golden Globe 2011.
