This year, the "plum blossom" in Hubei is earlier than usual, and the rainfall in the Meiyu monitoring area is less than usual, and the intensity is weaker.

  During the Meiyu period this year, a total of 4 regional heavy precipitation events occurred in Hubei. Among them, June 26-28 was the strongest precipitation process in the Meiyu period. There were 24 heavy rain stations and 3 heavy rain stations at the National Meteorological Observatory. The severe meteorological drought in the northwestern Hubei, northern Hubei ganglands, and western Three Gorges Valley has basically eased.

  According to reports, the precipitation during the Meiyu period in Hubei this year has convective characteristics, and the single-point precipitation is strong.

A total of 8 heavy rainstorms and 55 heavy rainstorms occurred at the National Meteorological Observatory.

From 14:00 on June 19th to 13:00 on the 20th, four towns in Yidu and Changyang experienced a heavy rain of more than 300 mm in 24 hours, and the height of Wuyanquan Town in Yidu was 382 mm.

  Meteorological experts said that according to the comprehensive analysis of the thermal conditions of the underlying surface of the ocean and land, the evolution of atmospheric circulation, the previous climate characteristics and the prediction results of the climate model, it is expected that Hubei will have high temperature and little rainfall in the midsummer, and there will be periodic high temperature heat waves and droughts. Strong convective weather may occur frequently, extreme weather. The highest temperature can reach 38 to 40 ℃.
