The murder of a spouse and an affair with an investigator: the dramedy "I "loved" my husband" is being filmed in Moscow

In Moscow, the shooting of the series “I “loved” my husband” of the Premier online cinema is underway.

The main roles in the film are played by Svetlana Khodchenkova and Alexander Yatsenko.

The director of the project was Yulia Trofimova (“Country Sasha”, “Instalife”).

In the center of the plot is a housewife Ksenia, who has everything in her life to be happy: a beautiful house, husband, two children, a dog and high financial wealth.

Ksenia has a lot of free time to spend with her sons, take them to circles and, in general, take care of the family hearth.

However, not everything is as rosy as it might seem.

The heroine is going through a difficult period - a midlife crisis.

She realizes that she is not as happy as she thought before.

She is afraid of the dog, she has to beg for money, and her husband has completely lost interest in her.

Having learned about her husband's betrayal, she decides to diversify their sex life in an unconventional way, but instead of pleasure, she accidentally kills him.

The heroine of Svetlana Khodchenkova is afraid of losing her children and going to prison, so in a panic she comes up with a plan - to hide the corpse and live on as if nothing had happened.

But a meeting with a new man changes absolutely everything, since Ksenia falls in love with an investigator working on the case of the disappearance of her husband.

Maria Shulgina, Elizaveta Tikhonova and Yulia Trofimova worked on the script.

The project was produced by Sarik and Ghevond Andreasyan, Sofia Mitrofanova, Makar Kozhukhov and others.

In total, one season with five episodes is planned.

Each episode is approximately 24 minutes long.

From idea to implementation

As director Yulia Trofimova said in a conversation with RT, the idea for the series was born from her desire to make a picture about a female midlife crisis.

The cinematographer wanted to show how a woman rethinks her whole life, experiences difficulties and rediscovers herself and her happiness.

“I wanted to make a project about the crisis of a woman in middle age.

And with this request, I came to the screenwriters, we already discussed ideas with them on how to show it.

This is such an “American Beauty” (a film in which a man is experiencing a midlife crisis. -

), but only in Russian and with a woman.

As a result, we came up with it, ”the director shared.

According to her, the script for the series was written back in 2019, but they started filming only in 2022: for three years, Yulia Trofimova was looking for funding for the project.

Initially, the series was called "I Killed My Husband", but later, according to the director, the film crew came to the conclusion that the name should be changed.

“It was“ I killed (husband. -

) ”, then they decided that it would be too negative, so they did“ I loved my husband ”, but the word“ loved ”was put in quotation marks,” Trofimova explained.

By genre, the tape is positioned as a dramedy, but, as the director said, humor will prevail in it.

“One hundred percent will be more comedy.

The tone (of the series. -

) is precisely dramedy, that is, there are really dramatic moments that you can’t laugh at, but in general there is a lot of funny things, even in sad situations, ”said Yulia Trofimova.

The series begins with a plot - the murder of her husband.

The viewer immediately knows who did it, and then he can only watch how events unfold.

“Usually, when a movie is made, in most cases, we find out that the killer is a gardener at the end of the film.

Here, the story begins almost from the end, it's all even incorporated into the title of the film.

And as an actress, it was interesting for me to find this moment of existence, the moment of behavior of my character, because the viewer already knows what kind of crime was committed and by whom, ”says Svetlana Khodchenkova.

At the same time, the murder on the screen is not only physical, but also metaphorical, the director says.

This is because it helps Xenia start to truly live.

“Despite repentance, she comes to happiness and liberation” - and this, according to Trofimova, is the main theme of the whole story, love in the plot is secondary.

“The point is that you are free when you can make decisions yourself.

You don’t find yourself (in situations. -

), but you create them yourself, ”said the director of the series.

Fake blood and pink hair

The grim murder scene will be smoothed out by humor.

Yulia Trofimova stated that the tragic moments will be presented in an exaggerated form, and the film crew will try to do everything to adhere to the course set by the genre.

“We play everything in such a comedic way.

This is a dramedy, so there will not be any life story of the murder, we will try to make it comedic.

If we have blood, then it is so accentuated, exaggerated, bright and fake, ”the director explained.

“In this manner, we will keep everything.

We want the heroine to feel sorry for her, to empathize with her.

The project does not involve complex make-up elements - stylists curl Alexander Yatsenko's hair, and Svetlana Khodchenkova almost always appears in the frame with fresh daytime makeup.

Despite this, according to the director, throughout the series, Ksenia will have scenes for which Khodchenkova will appear on the screen with pink hair and sparkles to match.

Most of the make-up is used on Xenia's husband, whose role is played by Pavel Vorozhtsov.

The director said: "We are making him a completely new image."

The project “I “loved” my husband” is filmed in different parts of Moscow.

The scenes in the police station are being worked on in the pavilion, the director chose to hide the rest of the locations.

Romantic Investigator Meets Killer

Svetlana Khodchenkova and Alexander Yatsenko previously worked together, but they became an on-screen couple for the first time.

As the author of the series noted, both actors are professionals in their field.

“I really like them – they are wildly talented and professional.

Often we shoot in one take, because they immediately know what to do, ”said Yulia Trofimova.

By the way, the actors also like to work with each other.

According to Khodchenkova, she feels comfortable on the set and they managed to find a common language with Alexander.

“Sasha (Alexander Yatsenko. - 

) is wonderful.

He is a very sensitive partner, in addition to being a wonderful artist, and this is important to me.

When the partner does not offend, he will hear.

He is a very good improviser.

And he is so touching and real and always knows the text, ”the actress shared.

In the series, Yatsenko plays the role of an investigator who has lost faith in people.

“He is a romantic cop.

Sasha (Alexander Yatsenko. -

) plays this role because we needed someone like Ostap Bender.

He is a cop, but very romantic, - said the director of the tape.

“He says, ‘I didn’t find my princess!’ Which is strange to hear from a policeman.”

Speaking about her character, Svetlana Khodchenkova made it clear that the heroine is waiting for a transformation, as a result of which she will become happy.

According to the actress, at the beginning of the tape, Ksenia “can periodically step on her desires and feelings, while raising family values ​​​​on a pedestal.

It seems to her that life is like that.

“Then we find the heroine at a time when she needs to look for a way out of the current situation, and on her own, since she does not have people who can help or suggest,” said the lead actress.

- And the fact that she is in such a rather nervous environment, unusual for her, makes her act a little differently.

By the end of the series, the heroine finds herself, having gone through all these trials.

The director emphasized that, together with Svetlana Khodchenkova, they are doing everything to make the public like Ksenia even in the unfavorable situation in which she finds herself.
