This disease was formerly called the "disease of kings", because it is more common in people who eat rich foods and who drink a little too much alcohol.

Gout is a chronic disease related to uric acid metabolism.

Transformed into urate crystals, these are deposited in certain tissues, particularly in the joints, causing pain attacks that can last from two to ten days.
