"In early July, a black-necked crane 'couple' was photographed swimming with a chick on the banks of the Zequ River. The next day, another chick emerged from its shell, very excited!" July 5th, Cai Xiangnanjia, an ecological environmental protection volunteer from Henan Mongolian Autonomous County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, said that the birth of black-necked crane chicks has added vitality to the grasslands of Henan.

Black-necked cranes, as the flagship species of wetland birds on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, are the only cranes in the world that survive and reproduce on the plateau, and are listed as China's first-class key wildlife protection.

It is understood that 8 breeding grounds of black-necked cranes have been observed in Henan County.
