63 sandwiches in 10 minutes .. an American wins the "hot dog" competition (video)

An annual hot dog eating tournament is held in Coney Island, New York, on American Independence Day.

Chestnut scored his 15th victory in the event, but failed to achieve the record he set in 2020 when he devoured 76 whole hot dogs in ten minutes.

According to "AFP", Chesnt apologized to his fans, assuring them that his performance would be better next year.

Chesnett indicated that he trains by eating "hot dogs" constantly, in addition to participating almost weekly in eating competitions centered on this famous American sandwich, and that he will refrain from eating for a whole day after his participation in the competition.

Chesent had won a prominent victory in the famous "hot dog eating" competition, which is held annually on July 4, by finishing the competition by a large margin over his competitors.

Second place went to Jeffrey Esper, who devoured 47.5 "hot dogs", while third place went to James Webb, who consumed 41 sandwiches.

In the women's, Miki Sudo won first place after devouring forty "hot dog" sandwiches in ten minutes.

Sudou, who did not participate in last year's competition because she was pregnant, was unable to reach her previous record of 48 sandwiches.

Competitors from across the United States and as far afield as Australia tend to put hot dogs in water or soda to make it easier to swallow quickly without choking.
