The Arabic Language Center, affiliated with the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, launched its ninth course for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, targeting 25 students from multiple nationalities, including China, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Britain, America and Nigeria.

The center provides an opportunity for students wishing to learn the Arabic language from different countries of the world, as it opens the door for participation (remotely) for 10 study seats, while it hosts at its headquarters in Sharjah 15 students undergoing an intensive study program distributed over 45 hours of instruction.

The course focuses on enhancing students’ communication and conversational skills in standard Arabic, in addition to teaching them the basics of pronunciation and proper reading that enhance their practice of Arabic in their daily lives, as well as opening horizons to get acquainted closely with the culture of the UAE, authentic Arab customs, and noble values ​​that are the foundations of Arab societies. .

The Secretary-General of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Sharjah, Dr. Muhammad Safi Al-Mostaghanemi, stressed the importance of the courses in which the Arabic language meets with the people of other languages, in order to enhance its presence outside its Arab environment, which would highlight the universality of the language of the Dhad, and its ability to launch on the broad horizon, and to address the world with its literature and sciences. Which has been taught for centuries in various countries, and this is what makes the Arabic courses organized by the Arabic Language Center a continuation of the civilizational flow through which Arabic continues to provide the world with treasures of its knowledge and literature.

He added: “We welcome students from different nationalities who are united by the love of Arabic to acquire the aesthetics of its sciences and methods, to be their second or third language by which they enhance their communication with the sons of Arabs, and for the Arabic language course to represent for them the gateway to the rich Arab heritage from a civilizational and cultural center that is one of the pioneering achievements. In fostering the Arabic language and enabling its presence among the languages ​​of the world.”
