As opponents of the construction of "mega-basins" in Deux-Sèvres recently did - with success - several collectives mobilized, on June 25 and 26, 2022, against the creation of a giant hill reservoir in Col de la Croix Fry, near La Clusaz…
“The destruction of the mountain touches our hearts”

But in fact, it's a huge hole, a mega basin that will be plasticized and filled with water that we will bring up from a source that is 200 meters below!

To do what ?
An activist specifies that the “hole” is part of “a real estate construction project comprising a 4-star chalet of 57 apartments with an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a hammam etc”.
Framed by six police vans, the (peaceful) demonstration mainly brings together locals “from La Clusaz, Grand-Bornand, Annecy, underlines Siam.
We who are from here, we see how much we destroy the mountain;
because 20 or 30 years ago, it was not like that and inevitably, it touches our hearts.
We don't want it to continue, we want to find clean, beautiful, sustainable mountains!
".
