The discovery of a forgotten “Burger King” restaurant behind a wall since 1987

Builders accidentally discover an entire Burger King restaurant, perfectly tucked behind a wall in a US mall, during a renovation.

In one of the most unusual discoveries, a man in a mall in Wilmington, Delaware discovered a "Burger King" restaurant, with the same look and design as it was built in 1987.

The man, Jonathan Brett, shared photos of his discovery on social media that show the state of the famous fast food restaurant, which looked fine with chairs, booths, mirrors and flashy wall decorations.

The man said that apparently, the abandoned and hidden restaurant was very far from the public eye on the first floor and could only be accessed by mall staff via a switch, and the discovery sparked interest in how something so huge was hidden away from people for so long without being seen. Nobody realizes that.

However, it seems that few people knew that this restaurant existed in the first place, according to the "Indy100" website.

The management of the mall shared the restaurant's photos with the public for the first time on Facebook, and commented that it hopes to reopen it in its current, old form one day.

A Burger King spokesperson said: "While we are unable to confirm details regarding this location, we have verified that the great design and decor is in keeping with Burger King restaurants operating in the 1980s and 1990s, and this is in fact one of the earlier Burger King restaurants."
