A fire that killed six people at the factory of the confectionery maker "Sanko Confectionery" in Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture, began work on the 4th at the factory to demolish a part of the burnt building.

In February, a fire broke out at the Arakawa factory of the confectionery maker "Sanko Confectionery" in Murakami City, killing six people, including part-time employees.

At the Arakawa factory, police and fire departments have investigated the cause of the fire, but the company said that the building where the fire broke out could collapse, and with the permission of the police, the company dismantled this building. I decided.

On the 4th, work to demolish the corridor between the building and the next building began, and after the workers used a burner to cut off the outer wall of the corridor, they lifted it with a crane and dismantled it.

The company plans to remove the machinery and equipment inside the building and then demolish the outer walls, and the demolition is scheduled to be completed around the end of November.

Sanko Confectionery resumed production at two factories other than the Arakawa factory where the fire broke out last month, but for the Arakawa factory, fire prevention measures were taken and the results of the investigation by the fire department and the Labor Standards Inspection Office were explained to the bereaved family. After that, we will consider when to resume.
