New thunderstorms are expected this Monday in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Météo-France has thus just reinforced its level of alert in the morning by placing the Haute-Loire, the Loire, the Rhône and the Ardèche in orange vigilance (level 3 out of 4), instead of a yellow level alert (2 out of 4) so ​​far.

These four AURA departments can expect “thunderstorms sometimes accompanied by heavy hailstorms, this Monday afternoon, from the east of the Massif Central to the south of Lyon”.


Météo-France also mentions "gusts of 80 to 90 km / h possible, as well as accumulations of 20 to 30 mm of rain in a short time", or up to 30 liters per square meter.

"These storms will reach the Alpine regions during the afternoon, but will lose some of their intensity", continues the meteorological organization.

On Sunday, thunderstorms again caused a lot of damage in various French departments, including Loire and Haute-Loire.
