The Academy of Oscars has just invited no less than 397 artists and professionals from the world of cinema to join it.

, we find personalities as diverse as Billie Eilish, Anya Taylor-Joy or Jamie Dornan.
We will also highlight the presence of Vincent Lindon who chaired the jury of the Cannes Film Festival this year.
A concern for diversity
If each of these invitations receives a positive response, the total membership of the Academy of Oscars will be increased to 10,665 members, the majority of whom will be eligible to vote at the 95th Academy Awards to be held on March 12, 2023. This 2022 vintage includes 44% women and 37% people from racial minorities.
Finally, 50% of these future members reside in more than 50 countries and territories outside the United States.
Proof that the Academy is continuing its efforts to bring more diversity into its midst after promising to do the same in its appointments.
