One out of every 3 Facebook users suffers from a health problem!

A new study found that one in three Facebook users suffers from a specific health problem.

Social Media Fatigue is defined as a subjective feeling of tiredness, physical exhaustion and psychological exhaustion due to an overload of information from any form of social media, and manifested including through feelings of fatigue, discomfort, anger and frustration.

Studies in this field have shown so far that social media fatigue can lead to reduced use of social networks and even a complete stop, and that constantly switching between these applications can negatively affect the psychological state.

A new study by Dr. Itzik El Fassi of the Department of Behavioral Sciences at Hadassah Academic College in Jerusalem examined the prevalence of the phenomenon among Facebook users and the emotional and social factors that predict social media fatigue, according to health.walla.

A total of 294 Facebook users in Israel participated in the study.

The results of the study show that 34% of users experience fatigue as a result of using Facebook at a level they identified as high or very high.

19 percent of users reported that using Facebook makes them feel tense and nervous, and 42 percent reported that in the past they felt they needed a break from Facebook.

And 31 percent said that using Facebook consumes a lot of mental energy, 39 percent feel exhausted if they are on Facebook for a long time without stopping, and 35 percent report that they feel exhausted if they get into a long argument over the application itself.

And in the study published in Cyberpsychology: Journal of Psychosocial Research on Cyberspace, additional data correlates with frequency of Facebook use, which is particularly troubling and to some extent explains the intended fatigue.

51 percent of study participants reported browsing Facebook for more than an hour a day, 64 percent admitted that they logged in during a class or work session, and 40 percent reported that they signed in to Facebook when sitting down to dinner or lunch with family or spouse, 52 per cent when they hang out with friends, 84 per cent of participants reported checking Facebook before they go to bed, and 70 per cent checking out what's new on Facebook as soon as they wake up.

The study author said that the more insecure people feel about personal relationships, the more fatigue they experience on Facebook.
