Several children were injured in an accident with a bouncy castle on a sports field in Gondershausen in Rhineland-Palatinate.

As the police announced on Sunday, the playground equipment was probably caught and lifted by a gust of wind during a children's tournament.

Several children fell from an estimated height of four meters.

"The rescue operation is ongoing," said the police.

Several rescue helicopters are on site.

There was also an accident with a bouncy castle on Saturday.

The accident happened in Tonndorf (district Weimarer Land), where three children were injured.

The bouncy castle was hit by a strong gust of wind and overturned, the police said on Sunday.

Five children playing on it fell to the ground, in which three of them were injured.

According to initial findings, the bouncy castle was properly attached, which is why there is no suspicion of a criminal offense.
