The strike by employees at Marignane airport (Bouches-du-Rhône), which began Friday morning to denounce degraded working conditions, ended on Saturday, with the signing of a strike exit protocol, a-t- we learned on Sunday from the management and the unions.

An agreement was reached on Saturday between the inter-union FO-CGT-CFE-CGC and the management of Marseille-Provence Airport, to start negotiations on the demands of the employees, explained Gérard Miliani, of the CGT.

Negotiations on Tuesday

The strike had had no impact on flights, the strikers, who did not want to “penalize passengers” in their terms, having not carried out a blockade, but only distributed leaflets.

It ended at 2 p.m. Saturday, according to Gérard Miliani.

As of Thursday evening, the management had requisitioned the “essential personnel”, requisitions denounced as an attack on the right to strike by the unions.

Negotiations between the two parties are due to start on Tuesday, according to the trade unionist, who warns that "if they don't give anything, [the unions will ask] a new notice for the weekend of July 14".

The management has promised to make "significant" proposals on the "crew" aspect of the claims, according to Robert Aruanno, also of the CGT.

The inter-union also calls for a revaluation of premiums to cope with inflation.
