3 young men kill an old man to steal his phone

Security forces in the Egyptian governorate of Dakahlia found the body of an elderly man dumped in an abandoned agricultural area.

According to local media, the security services found that 3 people had killed the elderly man and dumped him in an agricultural area in the village of Al Khums, affiliated to the Tami Al-Ameed Center in Dakahlia Governorate - Egypt, in order to steal his mobile phone to buy a drug dose.

The local sources stated that Tammy Al-Ameed Investigations in Dakahlia found that the body of an elderly man named Abdel Malik Ahmed Bakr, in his sixties, resides in the same village where his body was found in an agricultural area on its outskirts.

Investigations by the mabahith indicated that 3 young men were behind the incident, as one of them lured the victim into the agricultural lands after sitting with him, and he called two others, and after their arrival they hit the victim with a hard object on the head.

Investigations revealed that “after hitting the elderly person on the head with a hard object, another continued hitting him with a stone until his head was shattered and he lost consciousness.” They did this in order to steal his mobile phone and ran away to buy a dose of drugs.

During the preliminary investigations in front of the mabahith, and after confronting the defendants with the results of the investigations, the three defendants confessed to committing the incident and instructed the mobile phone stolen from the victim, and the Public Prosecution was notified to begin its investigations.
