WhatsApp is preparing to hide the “online now” user mode!

The WhatsApp instant communication application is working on a new feature that hides the user's status from others, which may relieve him of annoying messages.

(WABetaInfo), which follows the latest news of "WhatsApp", said that the application is currently testing the feature to hide the user's status "online now" or (online) in English.

The site stated that this new feature will be present in the application soon, and will be available to users of phones running “Android” and “iOS” systems, and even to users of the application on computers.

This development came after users over the past years demanded that they be given the ability to hide their status status on the application, as the “online now” mode prompts some to flood them with annoying messages, especially at night.

The site said that this was one of the main reasons that prompted users to ask "WhatsApp" to introduce the new feature, in addition to the fact that some feel that they are being chased by certain people.

And the site published a “screenshot” showing the new service in the “privacy” menu in the settings, through which the user’s status can be controlled, with the ability to specify who can see the status like anyone or the list of phones saved in the phone.

Currently, users can control the "last seen" information, that is, prevent others from seeing the last hour the user was active on the application.

And last year, WhatsApp began to hide the “last seen” automatically from the people with whom the user did not have any chat, in an attempt to prevent any third party from accessing this information.

And (WABetaInfo) website monitored the development of the new service on the beta version of “WhatsApp” for “iOS” phones, that is, “iPhone” phones.

He said he did not know when exactly the new feature would come into service.
