The death of an Austrian was terrified after a shark approached her in Hurghada

An Austrian woman died of terror and fear after a shark approached her while she was swimming in the waters of the Red Sea in Egypt.

Official Egyptian sources revealed that a hospital in Hurghada received on Friday evening a 68-year-old Austrian named Elizabeth Squire, who lives in the city and is married to an Egyptian, as she was fighting death, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed for her without a response until she breathed her last.

She added that the woman was shocked and terrified as a shark approached her while she was swimming in the waters of Hurghada, noting that the body was taken to the hospital morgue and the prosecution was notified, which took over the investigation.

It revealed that the attacking shark is an oceanic white-fin shark, estimated at about two meters in size, and is aggressive towards humans.
