The reporter learned from a number of airlines that starting from July 2, Beijing-Shanghai flights will resume in batches.

Airlines with Shanghai as their main operating base took the lead in resuming Beijing-Shanghai flights. On July 2, China Eastern Airlines had 4 flights from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Beijing Capital Airport; on July 3, China Eastern Airlines flew from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Beijing Capital Airport. There are six flights; starting next Monday, July 4, China Eastern's daily Shanghai-Beijing flights will increase to nine.

From July 3rd, Juneyao Airlines will operate one round-trip flight from Shanghai Pudong to Beijing Daxing every day, and from July 5th onwards will perform one round-trip flight from Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing Daxing every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Airbus A320 aircraft will be used for flight in the initial stage of the resumption of flights, and Boeing 787 wide-body aircraft with larger passenger capacity will be replaced later depending on the passenger flow.

In terms of China Southern Airlines, from July 3rd to 8th, China Southern Airlines plans to operate a round-trip flight from Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing Daxing every day, and from July 5th to 8th, an additional flight from Shanghai Hongqiao to Beijing Daxing will be added every day.

In the coming week, Air China, Hainan Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines and other airlines will also resume flights from Shanghai to Beijing one after another.

It is understood that the passenger load factor of the Beijing-Shanghai route ranks in the forefront of domestic routes, and it is the key route operated by various airlines.

During the epidemic in Shanghai, flights on the Beijing-Shanghai route were greatly reduced. From April to June this year, there was only one flight per day on the Beijing-Shanghai route.
