Gifu Prefecture and others announced on the 1st that 280 new infections with the new coronavirus were confirmed.
There were 127 more people than last Friday, surpassing the same day of the previous week for five consecutive days.
A total of 107,995 people have been confirmed to be infected in Gifu Prefecture.
In addition, one new death was announced, bringing the number of deaths to 347.
