Why this book?
Because Emily Blaine offers a non-linear story with jumps
in time, a little messy (but very easy to follow).
But above all, she chose to tell her romance from the point of view of the hero, and that, I love.
With this choice, we have the impression of diving into Tristan's memories, these moments are always related to something from the present, a conversation, a photo...
Because the profession of photographer is approached with its ups and downs,
its difficulties which contrast with the happiness it can provide.
It's quite rare to find it in a romance and it's also kind of what made me really want to read this book.
I found these passages very realistic and well detailed.
Because it's a rather cuddly read.
Even if Emily Blaine also tackles difficult subjects, mainly that of mourning, she always shows kindness, these are the vagaries of life, she talks about them with great accuracy.

The plot.
Tristan met Emma at his cousin's wedding.
He is certain of it, she is the woman of his life.
However, Tristan and Emma only cross paths, a relationship dotted for eight years.
Still the game of cat and mouse, Emma flees, Tristan tries to catch up with her.

Tristan, photographer, the hero of this story, endearing, patient and benevolent, madly in love with Emma.
Emma, a doctor, spends her time running away from Tristan.
Hélène, secondary character who has a very important place, the wife of Tristan's cousin and Emma's friend.
