The municipality of Ugine (Savoie) has invited all vulnerable people living on its territory to come forward in order to be included in a register.

The purpose of this list is to identify people at risk in the event of a heat wave.

The system concerns all residents over 65, those over 60 recognized as unfit for work, disabled workers and all disabled or similar adults.

People wishing to benefit from the service must contact the town hall or the Communal Center for Social Action (CCAS).

Registered residents will be able to benefit from information and rescue operations remotely or at their home in the event of a heat wave alert being triggered by the prefecture.

A well-established security program

The device is a preventive safety approach on which the State services have relied since 2004 to help the most vulnerable during heat waves.

Ugine has kept this specific register for several years.
