The NATO forum in Madrid left a rather ambiguous impression.

Undoubtedly, the West is still strong, and centuries of colonialism have allowed the Atlanticists on both sides of the ocean to accumulate a quite tangible resource and margin of safety, which will not be easy for even the current petty leaders to quickly squander.

But at the same time, their inadequacy and lack of understanding of the current situation in the world is not only surprising, but even somewhat shocking.

It shocks not in the sense that it frightens - we have nothing to fear, they are too cowardly to attack Russia, their maximum is pumping Ukraine with weapons.

It is shocking that in the 21st century, European states with a long and difficult history are led by people so far from reality who cannot analyze and calculate their actions at least one step ahead.

Let's take a look at the main decisions of the NATO forum.

Russia is recognized as "the most significant and direct threat to the security of the alliance."

This, of course, is extremely surprising.

It was not Russia that was approaching NATO's borders, it was NATO that expanded and expanded to the east like a cancerous tumor.

The special military operation in Ukraine has nothing to do with NATO at all.

So what is the “Russian threat” then?

Have we made territorial claims to NATO countries?

No.

Have we threatened with weapons at least one NATO country?

Also no.

But the NATO countries Lithuania and Norway, on the contrary, threaten Russia's inalienable right to supply its citizens with everything necessary in the Kaliningrad region and Spitsbergen.

Therefore, if there were honest and adequate people in the leadership of NATO, they would honestly write in their strategy: "NATO is the most significant and direct threat to Russia's security."

Actually,

Next item: "significant increase in high readiness forces on the eastern flank."

Well, Hitler did it, Napoleon did it.

What they and their troops ended up with is known.

That's just Russia's ability to respond with lightning speed has grown significantly since then.

And we do not rule out a preventive strike (non-nuclear, of course).

And here one can only feel sorry for the inhabitants of Eastern European countries.

Their politicians convinced their fellow citizens that NATO membership meant security.

And as a result, both Poland and the Baltic States, and now Finland, are the primary targets for our missiles and bombs.

Is it called "security"?

Oh well.

Move on.

“We approved a package of assistance to Ukraine, including accelerating the supply of non-lethal equipment, strengthening cyber defense and modernizing the defense industry.”

Against the backdrop of massive deliveries of the most lethal weapons to Ukraine, the acceleration of the supply of "non-lethal" weapons is some kind of fiction and profanity.

Ukraine doesn’t really need cyber defense either, Ukrainian programmers are actively engaged in cyber attacks, and Western experts already fear in advance that after the end of hostilities they will start attacking not only Russia, but also biting the now feeding hand.

“We agreed to strengthen political and practical support for Georgia, Moldova and other partners.”

Well, yes, we remember very well how NATO supported Georgia in 2008.

Since then, this country has been demilitarized and poses no threat to anyone.

Now NATO is trying to convince Moldova to seize the moment and attack Transnistria.

Well, I really hope that in Chisinau they understand the danger of this act.

“We officially invited Sweden and Finland to join the alliance and stated that the security of these countries is of “priority importance” for NATO, including during the period of accession.

Well, our president has said it all.

If they are so calm - let them enter.

But the consequences for them can be extremely sad.

NATO has not yet provided security for anyone, rather the opposite, as we noted above.

And of course, one cannot fail to note the aggressive statements of the British and Belgians about the need to fight in Ukraine to the last Ukrainian and some transcendent nonsense of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson about what would happen if Putin were a woman, and that Europe recreates the Roman Empire.

It is difficult to add something to what Putin himself has already said about this.

NATO has always been an aggressive military bloc, but now it is also an inadequate aggressive military bloc.

Indeed, we do not need such partners.

I believe that our response to the increased threat of Russia on our western borders will follow fairly soon.

And the West will not like them very much, but they will have no one to blame but themselves.
