A man in his 80s died at home on the 29th in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture, and as a result of detailed investigation, it was found that the cause of death was heat stroke.



This is the first time that death due to heat stroke has been confirmed in Tokushima Prefecture.

According to the fire department, a day service staff member visited the home of a man in his 80s in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture at around 9:40 am on the 29th, and the man collapsed with cardiopulmonary arrest.



At that time, no air conditioners or fans were used indoors.



The man was taken to a hospital in the city, but was confirmed dead, and upon closer examination, it was found that the cause of death was heat stroke.



This is the first time that death due to heat stroke has been confirmed in Tokushima Prefecture.

In Tokushima prefecture, the maximum temperature continues to exceed 30 degrees Celsius every day, and on the 29th, the Meteorological Observatory and others announced "heat stroke warning alerts".



As the temperature continues to be high, the meteorological observatory and fire department are calling for attention to heat stroke by diligently taking water and using air conditioning.
