The former Minister of Health and Sports Roselyne Bachelot left politics in 2012 to become a columnist on D8 (which has since become C8).

Before returning to politics, at the head of the Ministry of Culture, in July 2020. The politician and media woman could resume her seat as a columnist, according to "Télérama".

She had given the lie to the tacit commandment that one does not return to politics after going into the media.

Roselyne Bachelot could continue to move the lines by moving for the second time from a political career to a media career.

According to information from our colleagues from

Télérama

, the former Minister of Culture should be one of the faces of BFMTV at the start of the school year.

She would not have her own show, but she would regularly appear on the air, notably on the show

Face à Duhamel

.

But the transfer has not yet been finalized.

Interference between politics and media role?

The High Authority for the transparency of public life must indeed still give its agreement to the hiring of Roselyne Bachelot.

It is for the body to determine whether this new position does not interfere with its former functions.

Validating the reconversions of ministers is one of its powers.

Especially since, as Minister of Culture, it was Roselyne Bachelot herself who was in charge of media files.

Télérama

recalls, however, that refusals are rare: on average only 5 to 10% of retraining cases are challenged by the High Authority for the Transparency of Public Life.

This will not be a first conversion for Roselyne Bachelot.

Before becoming Minister of Culture in 2020, she worked for LCI and had made a short passage through Europe 1. In 2012, the one who was also Minister of Health had swapped her chair as a deputy for that of columnist on the show by Laurence Ferrari,

the Grand 8,

on D8 (which has since become C8).
