Jordan: Disable "WhatsApp" and "Messenger" during the hours of the "Tawjihi" exam!

A source in the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Jordan revealed today, Thursday, that the most prominent conversational applications that will be suspended during the Tawjihi (high school) exam are the “WhatsApp” and “Messenger” applications.

The source added to the “Saraya” news website that the work of the “WhatsApp” and “Messenger” chat applications will be suspended immediately after the start of the high school exam at ten in the morning, and the applications will return to work as soon as the exam sessions are completed.

It is noteworthy that the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority noted that, at the request of the Ministry of Education, some applications on cell phones will be suspended during the high school exams period, and that the telecommunications and Internet service will remain effective.

She indicated that this measure was taken several years ago during the high school exams, noting that the impact would be on communication towers near the schools where the examination halls are located.

She explained that these applications will return to work as usual after the end of the exam each day.
