Noura Al Harmoudi said about her story with sweets that she adored: “I have been attached to the world of flavors and cuisine in general, since high school. Before".

About the beginnings of this passion, and the circumstances of her discovery of the world of sweets, Noura confirmed to "Emirates Today" that she acquired this ingenuity from her sister, who was distinguished before in the same field, and encouraged her to go through his unique experiences, adding: "With time, I was able to gain some experience that I tried Develop it based on daily practice, research and looking forward to the experiences of a number of skilled international and famous Arab cuisine in the confectionery industry, whom I have been following on social media platforms or on YouTube.

After that, I tried to develop my personal tools and elevate my experience by experimenting with new dishes and re-preparing others repeatedly in various shapes and flavors, until I was able to master them and incorporate them into my own recipes.”

The step of establishing a special project for making sweets for Noura did not come out of nowhere, as she has always been associated with mature decisions and preparations to learn the secrets of this world, explaining: “With the great encouragement of family and friends around me, I took the decision in 2018, parallel to my university entrance, to go through the experiment, and establish A special label called "Made of Sugar" that she started on (Instagram), to satisfy the taste seekers of unique flavors.

Years after launching my brand, I feel optimistic, seeing the trust I have gained from people.

In addition to my indescribable happiness with the positive reactions of the brand’s customers and their admiration for the products I offer, which made me expand a little in marketing them, not only at home, but on a larger commercial scale, including some cafes in Sharjah.”

Regarding the types that she excelled in preparing, she said: "I have many types of sweets that have become a mark in my project experience, perhaps the most important of which are the flavors (pistachio cheesecake, truffles, tiramisu, rocky road and custard) and others.

And she continued: “I used to allocate an unsteady time every day to make sweets and prepare the orders that I received from customers, often using the skills of my mother and sister, who never gave up helping me when needed, provided that I spend the rest of the time either at the university or in distance study. When we were under the conditions of the Corona pandemic, what helped me, by the way, to invest this space that I have here, to complete the daily requests that I receive.”

Challenges

Regarding the experience of small projects launched from homes, in which many young people have recently become involved on the “Social Media” platforms, Noura added: “Despite the successes that these small projects achieve and are still achieving, they, due to limited capabilities, may face several obstacles, most notably financing, and then The time that is not available all the time, especially the period of continuous university exams, as well as the family and health conditions that each of us faces, the simplest of which is the disease. And experienced workers on my behalf.”

And she added, "Despite all these challenges, this experience is worth a try, because it made me master the use of my spare time in a useful way, and learn to rely on myself, and thus prove myself in society."

And Noura continued: "I see myself today - despite all the difficulties - more fortunate than others, because I had the support of my small family members and friends, especially my father, who pushed me to overcome my fear and supported me financially to launch my own project, and then achieve the completion of part of my future dreams by establishing a private cafe project that I put forward. It has a wider range of my products.”

Noura Al-Harmoudi confirmed that she succeeded in managing her project, not only from making her sweets, but also to marketing, publishing and managing her pages on social networking sites, noting her flexibility in dealing with criticism, in which she has always listened to the opinions of her customers in order to develop her products and make them able to compete.
