"The main role" (Competencia oficial)

Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas and Oscar Martinez met on the set of the Spanish-Argentine film "The Leading Role".

The plot revolves around an 80-year-old Spanish businessman who wants to leave his mark on history.

He considers building a bridge, but eventually gives up on the idea and decides to make a film.

The millionaire hires eccentric and fearless stage manager Lola Cuevas (Cruz) and two opposing genius actors: dramatic Hollywood film actor, sex symbol Felix Rivero (Banderas) and classical theater performer Ivan Torres (Martinez).

The literary main film is the book of the Nobel Prize winner, which the businessman, however, did not bother to read.

The hero hopes that the film will become a cult, but over time it becomes clear that a good team may not be enough for this - the performers of the main roles begin to compete in professionalism, and the director chooses very non-standard methods of work -

some of them add to the tension even more.

The witty satire of Gaston Duprat and Mariano Kohn ("Honorary Citizen", "Masterpiece", "The Artist") was presented in the main competition of the Venice Film Festival and competed for the "Sebastian Prize" at the San Sebastian review.

"Paranormal activity.

Medium" (Rang Zong)

In Russian distribution, the film co-produced by Thailand and South Korea Rang Zong was released under the title Paranormal Activity.

Medium", referring to the popular American franchise, but in reality the project is united with it only by the genre - mockumentary horror.

The shaman Nim lives in Isan in the northeast of Thailand.

She helps the people of her village heal from mental disorders and other ailments.

One day documentary filmmakers come to the village and want to make a film about Him.

The woman tells them that the magical gift was inherited by her, although it was intended for her sister.

The deity chose Nim because the sister refused this fate.

Meanwhile, the young niece of the heroine at the funeral of a relative, right in front of the guests, begins to behave strangely.

Film director Banyong Pisanthanakun previously directed the two parts of Phobia and the comedy melodrama Hello Stranger.

He also participated in the work on the script of the new film, along with Na Hong-jin, who released the tapes "The Chaser" and "The Yellow Sea".

"Divorce.

Film One"

The film directed by Konstantin Kolesov ("Beetles", "Astra, I Love You", "The Danger of Complete Disappearance") tells about the difficulties in the relationship of a married couple.

Love has cooled down, and it was replaced by quarrels and mutual claims.

The heroes get divorced, but they cannot leave, as they are connected by a common mortgage, and it is impossible to sell housing due to redevelopment.

The roles in the film were played by Anna Glaube (“Inadequate People”), Anton Shurtsov (“Crystal”), Ivan Kupreenko (“Nevsky. A Stranger Among Strangers”), Alena Savastova (“Unscrupulous”) and other actors.

“Divorce is a cool topic for a film, maybe the viewer will look from the side and think:“ I don’t have such a bad husband or wife, it’s time to tell him or her about it, ”shared Anna Glaube.

According to Anton Shurtsov, he "took a master class" from his hero.

“He is just a storehouse of humor, jokes, games.

I learned from Vitya how to competently build a conversation, how to joke, how to react - he has a god-level irony.

It is very difficult to play him, but at the same time it is a great pleasure, ”said the actor.

"The Curse of Arthur" (Arthur, malédiction)

The plot of the horror was inspired by Luc Besson's trilogy about the boy Arthur, who was friends with the Invisibles.

Besson was the author of the tape, and the director was Barthelemy Grossmann, a French director who worked on the TV series Unlimited and Exposed.

At the center of the story is Alex, an 18-year-old boy who has been a fan of the Arthurian films since childhood.

Knowing about this hobby, friends surprise him on his birthday and take him to an abandoned house where the famous saga of Arthur and the Invisibles was filmed.

The heroes do not even suspect that a childhood dream will turn into a real nightmare, and the house into a death trap.

Unlike the original full-length animated films "Arthur and the Invisibles", "Arthur and the Vengeance of Urdalak", "Arthur and the War of Two Worlds", designed for children and families, the new spin-off is released with the label "18+".

The budget is also very different - the production of the horror film cost €2.4 million, while each cartoon in the series took at least €60 million.

One of the roles in the film was played by the daughter of Luc Besson - Thalia Besson.

"Fighter: King of the Ring" (Prizefighter: The Life of Jem Belcher)
