Kana Satomi, a female shogi player (30), will take the "transfer test" of the Japan Shogi Association with the aim of becoming a professional shogi player.

If you win the fifth game, the first female professional shogi player will be born.

The Satomi Women's Four Crowns won the game on the 27th of last month and met the conditions of "10 wins or more" and "win rate of 60% 5 minutes or more" in the latest official game, and took the "transfer test" for professional shogi players. I got the qualification to do.

After that, it was not clear whether to take the exam, but the Japan Shogi Association announced on the 28th that it had received an application from the Satomi Women's Four Crowns and accepted it.

Satomi Onna-ryu Shikan is from Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, and since 2011, she has belonged to the "Encouragement Association" and became the first woman to become a third dan.

However, she could not be promoted to "4th Dan", which is regarded as a professional shogi player, and 4 years ago, she withdrew from "Encouragement Society" due to her age limit.

On the other hand, she continued her activities such as breaking the record for the number of female titles won in her history, and it was noticed whether she would aim to become a professional shogi player again.

Satomi Onna-ryu Shikan commented, "We have submitted an application for the Go Player Entrance Examination. We will do our best, so we hope you will keep an eye on us."

From August, we will play the fifth game with the 4th dan shogi player, and if we win 3 times, the first female professional shogi player will be born.
