Sjöblom was employed at Sveriges Radio's entertainment department in 1959, and during his many years of career was, among other things, host of radio and television programs such as "Svensktoppen", "Mosebacke Monarki" and "Notknäckarna".

In an interview with Aftonbladet before the 90th anniversary, Carl-Uno Sjöblom told about what the technology behind the programs looked like in television's childhood.

- It is so different today and there is a completely different technology.

When we did, for example, "Mosebacke monarchy" in 1968, we had to make the fun more mechanical, there were no electronic effects then.

It was more of a craft because we had to do everything from ear to loaf.

For an old man like me, it's a little hard to think this new one is good.

But it is not possible to compare, he told the newspaper.

Carl-Uno Sjöblom, who would have turned 92 in September, passed away quietly at 11 pm on Monday, the family confirms to the radio.
