The groundbreaking ceremony for the "Nagasaki Stadium City Project" in Nagasaki City was held again next year toward completion in September 2024.

Masaharu Fukuyama from Nagasaki has been appointed as the person in charge of promoting the project, and said, "I want to make it a place where I can convey the charm of Nagasaki to the world."

At 75,000 square meters of the former site of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Yukimachi Factory on the north side of Nagasaki Station, Japanet Holdings, a major telecommunications company headquartered in Sasebo City, will focus on the soccer stadium, which is the home of soccer J2 and V-Varen Nagasaki. We are planning to build a complex facility "Nagasaki Stadium City" with a hotel, commercial facilities, and offices.



The groundbreaking ceremony was held on the 26th, and Governor Oishi and Mayor Tagami of Nagasaki City also attended.



Asahito Takata, president of Japanet Holdings, has announced that the total project cost will increase by 10 billion yen to 80 billion yen due to the soaring prices of materials, aiming for completion in September next year.



President Takada said, "I want to increase the exchange population in Nagasaki through the project. I want to do my best with preparedness."

In addition, it was announced that Masaharu Fukuyama from Nagasaki was appointed as the person in charge of promoting the project, and Mr. Fukuyama attended online from Glover Garden, a tourist destination in Nagasaki city.
