On June 25, local time, the "Ensakh" festival was held in Yakutsk, the capital of Russia's Sakha (Yakutia) Republic.
According to the organizer, about 200,000 people including local people participated.
"Ensah" is the traditional New Year's festival of the Yakut nationality, and it is the most solemn national festival in the area.
During the festival, the Yakut people express their worship of the sun god with grand traditional ceremonies to welcome the rising of the sun, the recovery of nature and the coming of summer.
