Kuwait .. 10 years in prison for a university doctor who hit his nephew with a "dumbbell"
The Criminal Court in Kuwait sentenced a university doctor to 10 years in prison with hard labor, on charges of assaulting his nephew with an iron weight.
The medical report revealed that the victim sustained a permanent disability as a result of this attack, which was paraplegia and a fractured skull, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas.
The defense of the victim, Lawyer Yaqoub Al-Shatti, attended and orally represented the victim and demanded that the accused be punished with the most severe penalties.
Al-Shatti stated that the element of surveillance is fixed against the offender, and this was evident by preparing the weight, observing his client, and stalking.
