In the midst of a qualitative cultural presence, the Emirati poet Ahmed Al-Assam read excerpts from his book "Amina", recently issued by "Dar Ghaf", the day before yesterday, at the Al Owais Cultural Foundation building, during an evening moderated by the poet Sawsan Dhanim.

Al-Asam pointed out that the poem “Amina” consists of 190 syllables that he wrote at different stages, considering that “Amina” is equivalent to the character “Laila” in the poetic imagination, as his long poem carries many meanings directed to the reader who picks up the meaning and its connotations in the text.

During the evening, the Emirati poet also touched on issues affecting the conscience, telling about his childhood and the first poetry he issued and dedicated to the sea, and about the sadness that envelops the poem in a transparent robe that reveals the delicate, loving and always lover spirit.

The evening was a celebration of the poet Ahmed Al-Assam, during which spontaneous testimonies were attended by friends and colleagues who praised the fertile and continuous experience of the poet, who has not stopped writing for more than 30 years.

Al-Asam signed copies of his Diwan "Amina" to attend after the evening's end.
