The collector of these collectibles and founder of the Museum Complex, Nasser Suleiman, told "Emirates Today" about the idea of ​​the museum and his journey with these historical pieces: "I have been collecting antiques for more than 45 years, and I did not buy a single piece with my mind, but I always chose it with my heart because of my love for it, as I'm emotionally attached to it and can't sell it even though there are a lot of similar items.”

He added, "I visited nearly 160 countries, and I was an athlete, and I toured various parts of the Emirates, and during my tours I used to buy and collect old pieces, and when their number became large, I worked on classifying and separating them, and began collecting them within specific sections and boxes."

The beginning of passion

Suleiman pointed out that the complex contains many collections, and he will display them in the next stage, noting that it was his profession as a lawyer that made him research a lot in the history of the Emirates and the history of pieces, and from here this passion began for him.

He noted that there are important historical pieces on display, close to his heart, as he was keen to store them in a way that preserves them completely and with high-level air conditioning and away from moisture, considering that storage is the most difficult task in dealing with old collectibles.

He pointed out that until the upcoming Eid holiday, the visit to the complex will be free, but later on, it will be entered with a nominal fee, to secure the complex's expenses, including rents and employee salaries.

He revealed that he is studying the idea of ​​an agreement with a certain government agency that will manage the place and the collectibles, because they are valuable pieces.

He stressed that the visitors attracted by the complex are not only Emiratis, but also tourists from all over the world.

Suleiman named the corridors in the corridors of the museum the names of the streets, including “Al-Shuhada Street” in honor of their giving and giving their lives for the sake of the country.
