After the violent storms of June 3, 4 and 5 in the Loiret, several municipalities asked the prefecture to ask that the state of natural disaster be recognized by the State.

But the Loiret prefecture replied that this would not be the case for municipalities affected by strong winds and hail, reports

Indeed, the state of natural disaster is currently only recognized for 123 municipalities, while 45 others are still pending.

But that only applies to floods and mudslides.

Thus, municipalities that have been affected by high winds and hail will not benefit from this recognition.

And for good reason, this damage is covered by the storm-snow-hail (TNG) guarantee of property damage insurance contracts.

Some of the municipalities concerned have therefore prepared a downloadable certificate from the town hall in order to be able to declare the claims within five working days of the damage.
