Léa Seydoux is currently in negotiations with Warner and Legendary to take on the role of Lady Margot in

Dune 2

as revealed by Deadline.

If the actress and the studios agree, the French star will join the impressive cast of the franchise.

The first part of

Dune

was composed of Timothée Chalamet, Jason Momoa, Zendaya or Javier Bardem, who will be joined in this sequel by Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Austin Butler.

In principle, production should start next fall with Denis Villeneuve at the helm.

A mysterious order

Concerning the character of Lady Margot that Léa Seydoux must embody, it is, in the novels, a servant of the Bene Gesserit Order (The Sisterhood in the original version), a faction just introduced in the first opus but which will grow in importance later.

As such, it should be remembered that a spin-off series devoted to the Order and entitled

Dune: The Sisterhood

was announced in 2019, so well before the release of the first film.

A series whose production was entrusted, at least for the first two episodes, to Johan Renck who distinguished himself by working on

Breaking Bad

,

The Walking Dead

,

Vikings

and, above all, by directing the entire

Chernobyl

series .

However, it is unlikely that Léa Seydoux will make an appearance there since the events of the series will take place thousands of years before those narrated in the films.
