The Egyptian Public Prosecution revealed the details of the imprisonment of 3 young men on charges of dancing and singing inside a mosque in the Marg area in Cairo, after a state of anger prevailed over the pioneers of social media, after the circulation of a video clip on “Facebook”, not exceeding 15 seconds, during which a young man appeared In his twenties, he sings and dances to folk songs inside a mosque in Al-Marj, intending to provoke the worshipers, prompting the security forces to pursue and arrest him, according to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan.

According to the investigation authorities in Egypt, the songs of festivals dominated the minds of young people, and the ambition of each of them to imitate those who sing it, among them 3 young people in the Marg area, one of them wanted to express his ambition to sing and play with loudspeakers, so when the 3 friends joined in construction work One of the mosques, they took advantage of the absence of anyone with them, to express their hidden talent from their point of view.

The investigation authorities reported that the youths violated the sanctity of the mosque in performing acts of worship, as they turned it into a platform for singing and dancing and pointed the lights at them with their cameras. The sound is coming from the mosque.

The investigations indicated that the main accused, besides the young man’s singing, made dance moves expressing his joy at what he was doing, while another of them took pictures to document a moment that was not repeated for them. The Egyptian Public Prosecution ordered the arrest of the accused, and their arrest. I interrogated them regarding the accusations attributed to them. And he performed dancing movements, and his intention was to have fun, claiming that one of the other two defendants had obtained this video clip surreptitiously from his phone without his knowledge, and then broadcast it on a social networking site, and accordingly ordered the accused to be held in pretrial detention pending investigations.
