Ayako Haraguchi, who was sentenced to murder of her brother-in-law in Osaki Town, Kagoshima Prefecture in 1979, was retried by the Kagoshima District Court in the "Osaki Case" where a 95-year-old sued innocence and asked for a retrial. I made a decision not to admit.
This case has been in the spotlight as the court has ruled to approve the retrial three times, but the prosecution has filed an appeal and then canceled it.
