On June 18, Songxi County, Nanping City, Fujian Province experienced heavy rainfall, local floods occurred, and waterlogging occurred in some areas of the urban area and along the river.

In the past few days, the flood has gradually receded, and the dredging and drainage work has been stepped up.

  The Fujian Provincial Fire Rescue Corps dispatched 182 fire commanders, 6 flood-draining vehicles, 1 set of long-distance water supply system and 10 pumps to the scene to assist government departments in dredging and drainage operations.

  On Hedong Road, firefighters used high-pressure water guns to flush away the silt, and then used brooms, shovels and other tools to carefully clean the corners of the roadside, dredged the drains in time, and opened the rainwater well cover to speed up the discharge of accumulated water.

In addition, fire rescue personnel also went deep into the Songxi County Second Water Plant and worked hard for more than 20 hours to assist in draining the accumulated water and clearing the sludge.

  At present, the local fire rescue team is continuing to assist in dredging and drainage work to help restore production and life.
