One dead, injured, power outage - storms occupied the emergency services in northern Upper Bavaria on Tuesday night.

The regional train line between Munich and Regensburg was still partially closed in the morning due to damage to the overhead line.

These should probably be repaired by noon.

According to the integrated control center, the technical relief organization was still on duty on Tuesday due to a power failure.

The clean-up work also continued.

During the storm, a falling tree in the Freising district killed a cyclist from Baden-Württemberg on Monday.

A 15-year-old pedestrian and a motorist were seriously injured.

The youth is still in mortal danger, said the head of the police department in Moosburg, Christian Bidinger, on Tuesday morning.

Power outages and damaged overhead lines

In the city on the Isar, which has around 20,000 inhabitants, and in several communities in the surrounding area, the electricity failed on Monday.

According to Moosburg, Stadtwerke München was able to reconnect to the high-voltage grid around 10 p.m.

After that, the individual households should be involved one by one.

On the regional railway line between Moosburg (Freising district) and Bruckberg (Landshut district), the storm damaged the overhead line, said a railway spokesman.

Until the repairs are completed, travelers will have to switch to buses on the route.

For hours, lifeguards, divers and a police helicopter searched for a woman who, according to witnesses, might have been surprised by the storm in a bathing lake near Moosburg.

The search was unsuccessful.

But there was also no missing person report, said Bidinger.

The area around the quarry pond is currently being searched for objects that could indicate that someone has not returned to land from swimming.

In other districts in northern Upper Bavaria, according to the police, the storm had only minor effects apart from a few fallen trees.

According to the police, a dozen fallen trees were also reported in Lower Bavaria.
