A terrifying video of a cable car breakdown with tourists in the sky in the middle of the mountains

A number of tourists had a terrible situation while boarding a cable car when they had to use a rope after they were suspended high in the air over a mountain range in India.

According to the newspaper, "Daily Mail", the horrific accident occurred while the tourists were enjoying the scenic views of the northern Shivalik Mountains, to the horror of the tourists when the cable car suddenly stopped.

The newspaper reported that the tourists were at a tourist attraction when they found themselves trapped in the air on Monday.

A video clip shows one of the 11 trapped tourists getting off the cable car using a rope, but many tourists were unable to use the rope to get off, including children and elderly visitors.

The group was stranded for more than an hour before police and fire brigades arrived to help evacuate the cable car.

While authorities used a second cable car to rescue the rest of the group, the Times of India reported that the entire vehicle had been safely evacuated.
