The Kuwaiti judiciary postpones the examination of the “liquor yacht” case

The Kuwaiti Criminal Court adjourned, in its first session, in the case known as the “liquor yacht” owned by a social media celebrity and accused of smuggling about 700 bottles of alcohol, until August 14 for information.

Also accused in the case is a famous friend of the networking sites, the captain of the yacht, of Filipino nationality.

The Public Prosecution had excluded the celebrity from the case, days after interrogating him, and referred his friend, the captain, to the central prison pending the case, after the Filipino admitted that the celebrity had nothing to do with alcohol and did not know anything about it.

According to Al-Rai newspaper.

The security authorities had seized, at the Umm Al-Maradim Customs Center, large quantities of liquor while trying to bring it into the country on a yacht.
