Huge hailstones hit the Loiret

After the heat wave that has hit France in recent days, a violent storm hit the Loiret on Sunday evening.

Hailstones the size of ping-pong balls thus fell on several municipalities, in particular south of the Loire, reports

410 firefighter interventions

The Republic of the Center

indicates that the final of the African Cup of Nations in the neighborhoods of Orleans was greatly disrupted by the storm.

The football match was canceled and the hundreds of spectators, deprived of stands, quickly left the stadium.

According to France Bleu, the firefighters carried out at least 410 interventions in the Loiret, on Sunday evening.
