Among them, Chen Maobo continued to serve as the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
On the same day, Chen Maobo expressed his gratitude to the appointment of the Central People's Government and the support and nomination of the chief executive-designate when he met the media.
He said that he had joined the government for ten years and had accumulated a certain amount of experience in the administration.
During his tenure as Financial Secretary for the past five years, he has made every effort to promote the diversification of Hong Kong's economy, especially in the areas of finance and innovation and technology, to maintain the bottom line of national security and financial security, to promote development and to balance security, and to make good use of the SAR Government's Financial resources, improve public services, and help the people.
Chen Maobo said that in the past few years, the international political and economic structure has undergone profound changes, coupled with the impact of the epidemic and other reasons, Hong Kong is facing a very difficult environment, and the SAR government team, all sectors of society and Hong Kong citizens have been working together to respond.
He pointed out that the legislation and implementation of the National Security Law for Hong Kong has quickly transformed Hong Kong from chaos to governance; the electoral system has been improved, and the principle of "patriots ruling Hong Kong" has been implemented, allowing Hong Kong to enter a new milestone of governance and prosperity.
